Saunders Family Farm was founded by Faith and Gordon Saunders and their son, Tanner, but has been in development through six generations of farmers. Farming has been in our family as far back as 1851. We are passionate about producing not only fresh fruit and vegetables, but a wide variety of gourmet jams and unique spicy jellies. We are a clean product with simplicity in mind. The majority of our ingredients are sourced locally in British Columbia. All our products are gluten free, sulphite free, dairy free with no added colours or preservatives. All of our products are handcrafted in small batches. Saunders Family Farm jam tastes just like how your grandma used to make it and our unique spicy jellies will be a new experience for your taste buds!
Faith & Gordon Saunders
Our world of farming began in 1858 when Henry Taylor made the decision to become a farmer. Following in his footsteps, his son, Jacob Taylor, took over the family business. Then, in 1908, Jacob’s son, Jim Taylor (my great-grandfather), started his farming career which consisted of grain farming as well as fruits and vegetables in the valley where my farm is located today. Passing away in the late 70’s, Jim had thankfully handed down the knowledge of farming to his son, Joe Taylor (my grandpa) and wife Sanda. In 1953, the couple established Winderberry Farms in Windermere, BC where they raised two children Faith (my mom) and Rodney. From here the couple provided a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to the Columbia valley for many years.Their daughter, Faith, and husband Gordon Saunders made the decision to follow in the footsteps of family tradition by establishing their own farm in 1986 naming it Win-Valley Gardens, a fruit and vegetable farm. They raised two sons here, Ryan and Tanner Saunders (me) and farmed happily for 16 years. In 2001, the family sold their farm – but years later, in 2009, Faith and Gordon decided they weren’t finished with farming which is how Saunders Family Farm came to be.Since then, Saunders Family Farm has been providing fresh produce and preserves to local communities around the Columbia Valley in British Columbia. We’ve become a household name because of our jams and jellies. Due to our success, we now are offering our products to you here online and working towards supplying you at your local grocery store.
